Sample Handling Assistant I

Salary: $16.04 – $25.83 an hour

Job Description:

We are looking for a Sample Handling Assistant I to join our team in Torrance. The Sample Handling Assistant I will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of samples in the laboratory.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process samples in accordance with established protocols.

• Prepare samples for analysis and ensure accuracy of sample data.

• Maintain accurate records of sample handling activities.

• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed when handling samples.

• Assist with the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.

• Assist with the preparation of reports and other documents as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
