Position Title: Patient Access Rep III Emergency Department
Location: Pasadena, CA
Salary: $19.06 – $28.58 per hour
Position Summary:
The Patient Access Rep III Emergency Department is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and their families in the Emergency Department. This position is responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments. The Patient Access Rep III must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
• Collect payments and co-pays.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
• Answer patient inquiries and provide information regarding services.
• Ensure accuracy of patient records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
