Parking Enforcement Officer I
Location: Hawthorne, CA
Hourly Rate: $20.23
Job Summary:
The Parking Enforcement Officer I is responsible for enforcing parking regulations in the City of Hawthorne. This position is responsible for patrolling assigned areas, issuing citations, and responding to complaints. The Parking Enforcement Officer I will also be responsible for providing customer service to the public and assisting with parking related inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations
• Issue citations for violations of parking regulations
• Respond to complaints and inquiries regarding parking regulations
• Provide customer service to the public
• Maintain accurate records of parking violations
• Assist with parking related inquiries
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of parking regulations and laws
• Ability to use computers and other technology
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
