Loss Prevention Officer

Location: Torrance, CA

Pay: $20.77 – $23.08 an hour

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Loss Prevention Officer to join our team in Torrance, CA. The Loss Prevention Officer will be responsible for protecting company assets through the prevention of loss caused by theft, fraud, and other criminal activities. The Loss Prevention Officer will be responsible for monitoring the store environment and providing a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor store environment for suspicious activity and theft

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints

• Investigate and document incidents of theft and fraud

• Maintain a visible presence in the store to deter theft and other criminal activities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to ensure that no unauthorized persons enter or exit the store

• Conduct regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas

• Monitor surveillance cameras and other security systems

• Prepare detailed reports of all incidents and investigations

• Assist in apprehending and detaining shoplifters

• Assist in the training of store personnel in loss prevention procedures

• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in loss prevention or security

• Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment

• Ability to remain alert and attentive for long periods of time

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
