Lead Payroll Ops Specialist
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Pay: $31.08 – $57.46 an hour
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Payroll Ops Specialist to join our team in Santa Monica. The Lead Payroll Ops Specialist will be responsible for managing the payroll operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Lead Payroll Ops Specialist will also be responsible for developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures, as well as providing guidance and support to payroll staff.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the payroll operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to payroll staff.
• Ensure payroll data is entered accurately and timely.
• Prepare and process payroll reports.
• Monitor and review payroll processes and procedures.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
• Maintain payroll records and files.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax returns.
• Respond to inquiries from employees and other departments regarding payroll matters.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new payroll systems.
• Stay up to date on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll operations.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with payroll software systems.
