Job Summary:

The Health Education Assistant II – Public Health is responsible for providing health education services to the public in Riverside County. The Health Education Assistant II will work with community partners to develop and implement health education programs and initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles and reduce health disparities. The Health Education Assistant II will also provide health education services to individuals, families, and groups in the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health education programs and initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles and reduce health disparities.

• Provide health education services to individuals, families, and groups in the community.

• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure successful program implementation.

• Develop and deliver health education materials and presentations.

• Monitor and evaluate health education programs and initiatives.

• Participate in community health fairs and other outreach activities.

• Maintain accurate records and reports of health education activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in health education, public health, or related field.

• Two years of experience in health education or related field.

• Knowledge of health education principles and practices.

• Knowledge of health disparities and health promotion strategies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work with diverse populations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
