Eligibility Worker I

We are looking for an experienced Eligibility Worker I to join our team. The Eligibility Worker I will be responsible for determining eligibility for public assistance programs, such as Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Interview applicants to determine eligibility for public assistance programs

• Collect and review documentation to verify eligibility

• Calculate and process benefits

• Maintain accurate records of all eligibility determinations

• Respond to inquiries from applicants and other agencies

• Provide information and assistance to applicants

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

• Prepare reports and other documents as needed

• Participate in training and other professional development activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or related field

• At least two years of experience in a related field

• Knowledge of public assistance programs and eligibility requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency with computers and related software

Salary: $43,190 – $53,583 per year
