Job Description:

The Dean of Student Life at Pasadena is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the student life program. The Dean will be responsible for developing and implementing student life initiatives, programs, and services that promote student engagement, learning, and success. The Dean will also be responsible for overseeing the student life staff, budget, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement student life initiatives, programs, and services that promote student engagement, learning, and success.

• Oversee the student life staff, budget, and operations.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to student life.

• Monitor student life programs and services to ensure quality and effectiveness.

• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure student success.

• Serve as a resource for students and families regarding student life issues.

• Represent the student life program at campus and community events.

• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners.

• Manage student life budget and resources.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field.

• Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field preferred.

• Five years of experience in student affairs or related field.

• Knowledge of student development theory and practice.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work with diverse populations.

• Knowledge of student life policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.

• Ability to use technology to manage student life operations.

Salary:
