Assistant Buyer – Women’s

Location: Manhattan Beach, CA

Salary: $65,000 – $70,000

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our Women’s team in Manhattan Beach. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for assisting the Buyer in the selection and purchase of merchandise for the Women’s department. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, researching new products, and negotiating with vendors to ensure the best prices and terms.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Buyer in selecting and purchasing merchandise for the Women’s department.

• Analyze sales trends and research new products to ensure the department is stocked with the latest trends.

• Negotiate with vendors to ensure the best prices and terms.

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure the department is adequately stocked.

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.

• Prepare and analyze reports to track sales and inventory.

• Assist in the development of promotional and marketing strategies.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, or related field.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of retail industry trends.
